Chiropractic

A health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and the effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health. There is an emphasis on manual treatments including spinal adjustment and other joint and soft-tissue manipulation.

Osteopathy

Manual Osteopathy is a gentle treatment that promotes and supports the body's natural healing process. By treating the muscles, bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and facia (muscles within the layers of skin), this treatment reduces and eliminates the restrictions that cause dysfunctions within our bodies at the source, allowing the body to return to a state of homeostasis and natural function

Reflexology

More than just a foot massage, reflexology is a focused pressure technique that is directed at the feet..
Reasons to try reflexology:
Relaxation
Improved wellbeing
Stress relief
Eases tension
Boosts the immune system
Improves circulation
Detoxes the body
Improves Sleep
Increases energy
Speeds up healing

I grew up in the county outside of Stratford, near a little village called Kinkora. Here I learned about the value of hard work, whether it was on a farm, in a machine shop, or during sports. After graduating from St. Michael’s Secondary School, I went on to Western University to graduate with a degree in medical sciences. With my love of science, sports, and helping others I decided to pursue a career in chiropractic, which took me to the Canadian Chiropractic College in Toronto. I spent three and a half years there before returning to Stratford for the externship program. This program allowed me to see and treat my own patients under Dr. Cheryl Pacheco’s supervision. This provided me with a memorable experience where I was able to learn from Dr. Cheryl and start to create the foundation for how I want to practice chiropractic. Now, having graduated and successfully passing my licensing exams, I am a fully licensed chiropractor eager to begin my career at Discover Chiropractic, serving the community in which I grew up. My approach to chiropractic is both evidence-based and patient-centered. As a lifelong learner I keep up to date with treatment guidelines to provide high quality care to my patients. I like to use a multimodal approach including education, manual therapy, and exercise, that is tailored to my patients’ needs, to help them reach their goals. In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer and hockey, and spending time with family and friends.

Living a lifestyle that is clean and is as natural as can be is important to me. Taking a holistic approach to any situation, including my own health, has always been my way. Kate has been a certified reflexologist since 2021, with a passion for helping clients relax, heal, and restore balance. Before becoming a practitioner, she served as the office manager at our clinic for six years, building strong relationships with patients while gaining a deep appreciation for holistic wellness and personalized care. I tailor each reflexology session to the individual, often incorporating essential oils and frequency-based techniques to enhance the body’s natural healing response. Utilizing a thoughtful, intuitive approach supports physical, emotional, and energetic well-being—making each session a truly unique experience.

** Bio: **

I have a background in Nursing, and graduated from Conestoga College Practical Nursing program with Honours, in December 2016. I started my RPN career in long term care, and moved to Hospice after loosing a very close family member. I later transition to the acute care in the hospital setting to broaden my skills. Conventional/western medicine was not lining up with my goals of providing care, and I felt I needed to find a way to help my patient/clients to improve their health in sustainable ways, rather than just treating symptoms instead of the cause.

After some time away from healthcare, I decided Manual Osteopathy was my way to find balance in life and provided quality care and overall health improvement to my patients. I graduated from the National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto, ON in February 2024, and I am a member of ACMA, which is accepted by most health benefit plan providers. I currently focus on pain management and general and overall wellness. I am still fine tuning skills in visceral, cranial, and pediatric care, and always looking to grow add to my growing skillset!
